Have a question or just have a feeling that life could be a bit easier with some help? Please reach out to us for any reason — we’re here!
Yes. We are all volunteers who genuinely want to help you do more good. It does mean we have to limit the help we can offer to consulting and some direct support getting set up. We do not have the capacity to offer ongoing technical support.
To remain independent we do not offer any paid for services, nor are we paid indirectly through sponsorship or referral fees. So any advice we give is independent based on our professional experience and the information we learn about you.
Often our help is needed as a charity grows, where what worked for just a few people is not as useful for larger teams of employees or volunteers.
We are happy to review any current set up along with your current and future needs. From this we can usually provide some recommendations.
If a larger project is then needed to set up a new system, how much we can help will depend on the availability of the relevant expertise. But we will always be available for guidance.
IT for Good are pleased to help any charity or non-profit, this includes those registered with the Charity Commission, unregistered micro charities, or other non-profit organisations.
We mainly focus on smaller charities as they often do not have money for professional IT staff.
But we are proud to be inclusive in who we work with, in terms of causes, scale, or location.
Although UK based, IT for Good are a fully virtual organisation.
We love meeting our clients properly where possible, but also want to be sure that any charity can access our help, regardless of location.
We are grateful for the help volunteered from IT professionals who share our ambitions. It is the core of IT for Good.
If you are an experienced technologist please reach out and we can have chat.
Although we are a volunteer organisation it is important we provide high quality advice and can communicate it effectively. So unfortunately we cannot make use of those without fluent English or at least 5 years professional IT experience.
IT for Good are primarily here to advise on anything around your digital, data or technology needs. Or to help you figure out what your needs are.
This includes pointing you in the right direction for cost-effective solutions, and advising on setting them up successfully.
The types of technology we cover are; email, telephony, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, team messaging and collaboration, video conferencing, web site.
Where we do not have the right expertise, or where you need paid for help, we will also help you find it.
